NEW BERN, N.C. (WNCT) – In New Bern, there was an insurance camp Tuesday to help those affected by Florence.

Representatives from around 20 insurance companies set up tents in the Lowe's parking lot.

The event allowed people to ask their insurance agents questions face-to-face and get help filing their claims.

State insurance commissioner Mike Casey said they are setting up events like this in areas affected by Florence across the state.

"We want to help people get started," Causey said. "We have had people come out here today in tears, frustrated, not been able to get any answers or get help, and they found that help out here today."

The camp moves to Jacksonville Wednesday.

It will be set up at the Lowe's on Yopp Road.

The hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
